The Aera Wallet supports a secure set of identity providers that enable strong customer authentication (SCA), digital onboarding, and secure payment approval.

These identity solutions ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g. PSD2), while providing a seamless user experience inside your Mobile app.

Currently Supported Identity Providers

All providers below are live and production-ready.

BankID (Norway)

Norway’s leading eID platform for strong authentication, used by over 90% of the adult population.

itsme® (Belgium)

Belgium’s national digital identity platform.

• Enables secure onboarding and user authentication

Aera SecureID

Aera’s native secure ID solution using biometric or PIN-based authentication.

• Built into the Aera Wallet SDK
• Used for SCA, payment approvals, and login of established Wallet
• Fully PSD2-compliant and device-secure

Aera SecureID is required for Wallet-level actions such as deleting credentials or approving stored token transactions.

You may choose one or more identity providers depending on:

Aera supports hybrid flows — you can authenticate the end user using BankID or itsme®.
